ORGANIC COTTON BABY FALL CLOTHES

Organic cotton baby fall clothes

Fall never picks a temperature and sticks with it. You leave the house in the cold, and by lunchtime it's mild, and your baby can't tell you which way they're leaning. So I dress mine in layers I can add to or peel back as the day goes: a long-sleeve bodysuit underneath, a footed sleeper over it, socks and a hat when the morning really bites. Nothing bulky, just enough to keep up with the weather.

All of it is organic cotton, and I care about that even more in fall than in summer, because now there are more layers touching your baby's skin, all day long. Ours is GOTS-certified, so it's grown without pesticides and made without the harsh chemicals conventional cotton goes through. The dyes are water-based and free of AZO chemicals, the seams are flat, and there are no scratchy tags. Right down to the bodysuit against their skin, it's soft and clean.

The thing I always come back to with fall is keeping a baby warm without cooking them. Cotton is good at that. It holds warmth but still lets heat escape, so they stay comfortable whether the heating's on inside or you're out in the cold. Add a layer when it drops, take one off when it warms up, much easier than guessing.

And because everything's in the same soft, earthy colors, it all just goes together, and it passes down to the next baby without looking worn out. Fall is honestly my favorite season to dress a baby for. All the cozy, none of the bulk.
